Sustainable Sausage was created as part of a project by Masters students working in the University of Otago‘s Centre for Science Communication, in coordination with the Department of Design Studies.
A blog about sustainability for the everyday twenty-something person, whose a bit cynical about about the whole thing – but interested in what all the fuss is about and what others think about it.
We’re interested in attitudes towards sustainability and how people in this age group can try to develop more sustainable lifestyles with minimal cash and with minimal effort.
Basically, the focus is to talk about whats goin on – we aint no greenies, just interested people trying to figure out the best ways for us to integrate environmentally friendly and sustainable habits into our lives without limiting our fun, funds or our lifestyles!
This blog behaves as a forum and as such we would appreciate your input and your suggestions so we, and others, can learn a bit more.

I’m getting pedantic because the world has made me… but sausages (though making good use of otherwise un-used offal) and the associated meat products are one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions [rrrroughly 40% (I don't remember numbers I just remember the attributed 'wow' moment) of NZ's total emissions I thiiiiink], aswell as contributing to a plethora of other environmental concerns.. ..
perhaps, ‘sustainable soy-based sausage’?
L girl this is hilarious. I do enjoy your blog. I have one two. Two blogs. haha
